Great photos. You certainly took quite an air fleet with you to that game. I see you like F-Toys as well. Were you not afraid some of those rare ones might have gone missing? Does that ever happen at cons?

    Thanks for the comments!

None of the planes have ever gone missing at conventions - indeed, I had lost nothing at all in 4 years of Aerodrome displays, until the last show before "Salute", when someone lifted a boxed 'Snoopy' from the display table
I have plenty more, but that's not the point.
I have never known anything go missing in all my years of wargaming, except for some 1/700 scale E-boats and B-17s at a "local" club when I was a teenager over 30 years ago.

That is good to hear. I cycled to my library the other day and a gent said it was not safe to leave my bike outside. Made me think that maybe there are a lot of folk around who do take others stuff.

I have seen it happen with roleplayers and card gamers - I chased two kids across a carpark at a con once after they knocked off some other kid's folder of Magic cards ($2K value apparently). They were staunch until I was produced the badge after which they could not give me back the purloined stuff quick enough.

I think most historical miniatures gamers are a cut above that sort of thing.

Great pictures, Tim. Lovely to be reminded of such a fun game. And thank you & John for all your hard work in setting it all up, as well as your magnificent generosity (& trust!) in making available your amazing collection of planes.

Once again many thanks for facilitating such a wonderfully memorable game. Above all it was a brilliant advert for the game.

Excellent pics and reports Tim. Wish I could have made it but I was holding up the British end in foreign parts.

Can't say I've had stuff go awol at shows either, although you do occasionally hear some horror stories.

Agreed - when you think of just how much irreplaceable and expensive hardware is on display at events, there seems to be very little trouble, if any at all.

Well done Tim on another fantastic report of another fantastic day by the members. I do think we are lucky as well to be 'mob' handed at shows and we can always keep a weather I on the display stuff.

    Great stuff, yet again, Tim.

Unfortunately my rep gun is jammed from your WGS post.
I really like the map you are playing on - really effective.
Like the Ares one on steroids.

I also like the Fe2s - are they yours?
I think I may paint mine like that - one green, one pale.

The FE2s, and the BE2s, and the Pups, are from the collection of John Biggles. Beauties, aren't they?

I have started an "emergency" programme of Early & Mid-War plane painting, in order to fill a glaring gap in my personal collection.

Great "Bloody April" game & display Tim.

    Well done all your Pilots.

    Tim,
I really enjoyed the AAR. Thanks to the players who played the game and to you for the pictorial report.
Your flames and smoke for downed planes were so realistic, I kept checking to see that they weren't moving.

The "Fire" marker has blinking flashing lights; a present from Teaticket. On video capture, the "dancing" flames look superb!

It always draws gasps of appreciation from the punters and passing Public - I only wish I could make more of them!
