Default WW2 Starter Set Miniatures SORTED.

Did anybody know or even better have for sale any of the Wings of Glory WW2 Starter Set Miniatures - of which there are four. These are not available as separate 'Airplane Packs' with all four being exclusive to the WW2 Starter Pack. I don't know the Edition Names which Ares Games have given these Miniatures but I do know that they are of the following aircraft types:

    P-40E Warhawk - French Markings

    Yak-1 - Russian Markings

Reggiane Re.2001 Falco - Italian Markings.

Kawasaki KI-61-I-KIAC Hien - Japanese Markings.

Many thanks for all replies and information - I now have these four Minis in my collection as of October 16th 2015.

    Barney / Aussietonka.

Great that you have those four elusive/exclusive WGS Starter Set planes.

Does anyone else have another set to sell to me? I just started WOG have the WGS series 5 planes. I would love to finish my WGS Series 3 set with those starter planes.

My fingers are crossed for your search Bruce. Finding these has taken me four months so just don't give up hope of finding them

Same here. W.G.S. playing career in it's early days as I began playing a few weeks ago.

Or +1 if that means the same thing.

I should be calling a celebration over this so we can all share a or few in the Officers' Mess ...

IMHO finding the WW2 Starter Set really is a matter of seek persistently and you shall find. But as Bruce advocates this search is a far from easy one and in the four months it took me to get hold of my set I experienced two false starts: The key is not to get frustrated. Sure the odd one or two will appear on E-Bay and often with a ridiculous price attached to it. Same as the way that this will appear now and again with online retailers like Wayland Games in the UK. With these use your instincts - if it looks to good to be true then it quite often will be. I know I will be looking out especially for WGS Starter Sets from now on and if I see one available from a source who is not online I'll be happy to assist a Member whose interested in obtaining one on a first come first served basis.

    Let the search begin Chaps

    £45, post-free, and yes, a U.K. seller.

The 'Buy It Now' listing had 29 days and 20+ hours to go, so it can only have been listed for less than 4 hours! Pure luck spotting it when I did.

Dang! I missed this as well

But this just shows how Barney's advice of seek and you shall find coupled with vigilance appears to be the key to finding a starter set.

I may have just attained something a little more spectacular compared with my last successful WGS Starter Set crusade ...

Upon receipt I will have successfully found a Wings of War Deluxe WW2 Set that I have just paid £53.00 on from The E-Bay. Though this may be the Italian version (Tutto Bene!) of this set the four aircraft enclosed are the same and the box is still shrink-wrapped. Cannot wait for THIS beaut to arrive some time around 10-15 days time ...
