I'm slowly starting on a small group of Albatros DVa for Jasta 11. I've decided to do much of the paintwork by airbrush opposed to paintbrush. I'm a bit restricted with this project as I have to go to my father's to run the brush off a powerful workshop compressor with a large tank. It works well but is very noisy when it does need to kick in to replenish the tank. So far I'm pleased with the quality of finish it delivers but really now want to get a quieter studio style compressor and spray booth but currently don't have the cash readily available so I'm sort of kicking my heels bit and going back to painting AB Napoleonic figures for a while.
Well Neil, i have not even admitted that it is May yet.
I'm still finishing my last three planes for April.

Heh! I know the feeling. I suspect every one of us has a "I've been working on that since (fill in an embarrassing long time)" project.
I'm not sure what is on my workbench for May. I have a ton of Shapeways that need painting, but I may paint more 15mm scifi/Traveller minis instead.
ME:My Name is Richard. Choirs: Hi Richard. ME: I have planes on my workbench going back to September! Choirs: Whats new? We all do, your in the wrong support group! Me: Sorry!
Rich
I can barely see my workbench! So many projects started and interrupted, getting bumped back in the line its a wonder anything at all gets done.
That said, I did do a quick turn around on a high priority job. For our young pilot recovering from some major surgery I painted a plane for him. I hope this will give Sebastion a little distraction from his current situation.
I found out he likes the Detriot Lions football team and did a Fokker DVII in their logo and colors. I was wondering what I was going to do with that second Goering? With luck he'll be flying it at Origins.
Mike (Oldguy59) did up another amazing card to go along with it.

That deserves a job well done award. The plane looks great the thought behind it is even better!
Rich
That's brilliant!
Excellent gift!

What a lovely idea, Peter! I'm sure he will be totally amazed at your wonderful work I look forward to seeing it at Origins, perhaps.
And a lovely (as always) job on the card, too, Mike!
All the best,
Matt
Simply amazing plane, Peter
Any reason why the painting is asymmetrical?

Superb gift Peter. Look forward to seeing it fly at Origins with Sebastian.
See you on the Dark Side......
Mike lovely card to go with it as usual. Great combo.
See you on the Dark Side......
Great idea Peter and very nice work from you and Mike on the plane.
Nicely done, Peter. I like the choice of colors. The blue and silver go well together.
Peter, great idea, superbly realised!
My REP gun isn't jammed!
Pete and Mike Outstanding job by both of you. I am sure it will pick his spirits up.
The only planes I have done recent are the ones I got from Clipper. My work bench seams to be full of SAGA and 7YW figures just trying to get these armies finished off.
Love those flying boats Clipper!!!
That silver job is neat. Some kind of FW-190 variant?
David modded a Ares Dora into a Ta.152, which was the high altitude followup of the Fw-190. Few saw service right at the end of the war.

Gotcha! Thanks!
Here's mine. An R.VI and the R.IV, about to become day bombers. No need to do them in night camo, since we'll have plenty of those come the end of the year.
And here's how David did it:
