What rules? The only rules are:

What is said in the mess stays in the mess.
What is done in the mess stays in the mess.

Other than that, who has the ball?

Guilty as charged Sir, you see it was like this Heder's found the ball and we had an impromptu game of rugger. Said ball was converted but ended up over the stream. Jager put it quite correctly, no bridge so we used our ingenuity and the door was rendered as a solution. Rugger turned into polo when Heder's, unsportingly I might add, mounted a horse, which horse Sir?, Well the one that is in the orderly room awaiting return to its rightful owner, Whom Tim reckons is the artillery battery two fields over. Oh and we did receive a message from said battery that we would get the shed, your office, back when they got their horses back. Well we only have one but I think Heder's left the gate open and the others went for a stroll so to speak. Other than that nothing out of the ordinary happened at all sir...Well one more thing Sir, the aspidistra gone missing again.

Would you like a cup of tea?

So we are currently looking for a door ... The owner of a horse ... The WingCo's Office and now a ball.

BTW is the horse alive or

That's a move in the right direction Squadron Leader.
Now find me the section appertaining to Dereliction of Duty. Specifically the clause dealing with loss of Government Property. Subsection- Aspidistras.

Last time it devolved into polo, with a horse, a gramophone, the WingCo's office and a missing aspidistra. Oh and we had to use a hand grenade as we had no ball.
