Nice. Where did you get the buildings or what did you use to make them? I like the airfield, if I had the room I've thought about doing something like that with a few of my planes.
Dale, thanks for your kind comment.
The planes are 1:285 scale Nieuport 11's (I think) in their base coats. I cannot remember the producer of the aircraft.
The houses were made with some Monopoly houses and hotels. I glued them on fiber board bases. Then I hit them with a little primer and painted them with some acrylics. The houses were sealed them with dark "polyshades" acrylic varnish, brand unknown.
The hangars are made from quarter-round molding that I glued together. I think they fit the planes fairly well.
Other "Clever Hans" may spot the planes better than I.
Best,
Mel

If they're 1/285, I suspect the aircraft are from C in C.

That sir, is a stroke of genius inspiration! I wish I'd thought of that myself!Originally Posted by Gribble

Dom, good spotting, you Clever Hans you!*
I am positive you are correct. So, my kites are C in C, one of my favorite makers.

Alex, I appreciate your kind words, sir.
Barry, welcome!
Thanks for the thumbs up!
Great idea using old monopoly buildings and quarter round.
Once again you might have this moved to Hobby Room as well.
Great work.
Dale
A very good diorama, Mel! Looking at the C in C site, I see that they also produce buildings, trees and bridges.
I appreciate your comment, David, thanks!
C in C has a great line of products, however, you sussed out the bridges, etc. well sighted indeed.
Best,
Mel

Hope you are keeping well,
