Default No Man's Land game mat scale

    Morning, all!

I am planning on picking up one of the Hotz Maps WWI No-Man's-Land/trench warfare mats in the not-too-distant future, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me an approximate 'scale' of the map? I know Zoe had one at CanCon, so perhaps you would know, Zoe; but perhaps others have them, too, and could tell? I was hoping it might scale out to something similar to the various commercially available models that have been discussed elsewhere on the Forum. It would be great to pick up some appropriate 'ground targets' for strafing missions and close-support bombing.

On a similar note, do we know yet what 'scale' the NML map is going to be that's coming out with the Kickstarter Bombers release? I assume it's going to be 'closer in' than the already available Ares mats, but again, a suitable size for guns and vehicles would be wonderful.

    All the best,
    Matt

Harry, I can not give you any piece of advice on a NML of Hotz, but frankly any of Eric's mats is a good choice. I own several mats of his (desert, space, european fields) and can recommend each and every one.

Scale I don't know , but trench map is 46 x 22 inches . Been using one along with european fields for a few years now. Very happy with both.

Andy, I've gone to the website and I'm impressed by what I've seen there. I'm sure I'll pick up a star map to fly X-Wing on, too (yes...I have the basic set but have been holding off...)

I'm more interested in knowing how wide the trench lines are - from one side to the other - to give an idea of what scale the map is. I'd love to be able to get some A7Vs and Brit Mk I through IVs to 'run' across it as targets, and even some French tanks, not to mention AA and arty pieces to shoot up or bomb.

Thanks for the exterior measurements, Darrell! I haven't decided what size I'm going to order yet, but I'm leaning toward the 'full' sized version, just so there's plenty of room to maneuver. I can imagine you're happy with them, having visited the website and seen the quality work there

    All the best,
    Matt
