Postman Pat has just delivered my Saturday reading:
It's been out of print for several years but it gives you a number of different and interesting schemes if you can get hold of it.

Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
Lucky you, Steve.
As far as Saturday reading is concerned I am just finishing "The Star of Africa" by Heaton and Lewis. A gallant Spitfire's opponent.
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Very cool! Time for you to get painting!
Pink was used in the desert as it seemed to blend in better. Some of the LRDG (SAS) vehicles were painted that color and it was suggested to paint ship that color. Mountbanton came up with the idea so a pink Spitfire is not out of the question.
21st Century Toys did a pink one in their old line of prepainted 144 scale warbirds from over a decade ago.
There's something about a pink Spitfire........bugger off to buy another model....were they only particular Mks?.....then stopit please.
