Very nice, whose models are they?
Thanks, they are from a Japanese company called Sweet and they are superb. Loads of decals and the detail is unbelievable.
What is their scale, Nigel?

They certainly look the biz Nigel, and could be the forerunners to some Ares repaints.

SWEET are 1/144. They have a few different models. I have the Italian Macchi C-200's I have to build. There are two plane per kit so a good buy.
Thanks all, just looking now for the perfect adversary.
Nigel
That is a great start on your desert collection! A great job on them. Sweet is their name and sweet kits they are!
Rich
Sweet, now if they come out with desert paint jobs I will have to get a desert mat. I guess I can do that.
Thomas
Nigel, like them a bunch and I like what you've made. Kudos!
Spits? Hurricanes? Warhawks?
But fan of Hurricanes soooooo..1/144 Hurricane 2's anyone?
Really well done Nigel I will stick to 1/200 scale though... 1/144 WGS is tempting, truly...

This is Cigarbox mats. They have a very good selection. Saw some of their mats at the Williamsburg Muster in Feb.
Bob
Cotton Jim had a few of those in February. They looked nice!
Rich
Those mats look excellent, I will need some dunes to fight over. Thanks again all.
Was aways the past few days and yes Jim hade some of their mats but I think they were for ACW. There was supposed to be someone at Cold Wars but he was in a car accident and didn't make the con. Have to look for them at Historicon.
Inspiring, Nigel. Sue, my better half, is the modeler in our marriage, but as we returned from Origins, I told her I think I can manage WWII planes. I looked at some AIM ones the other night. I think I will add a few 109s to the order.
