    Default Germanwings

Looks like the German co-pilot crashed Germanwings flight 4U9525 voluntary in the French Alps.

I don't know what to say...

If it is true, it is an unbelievable and hard to understand tragedy. I can feel the sorrows of all the families...
    My sincere condolences.
That is a very sad news for your countrymen, Sven.
We here also had to face an air tragedy in 2010 over Smolensk, but there was not a trace of proof of anybody's intentional action.

Suicide is bad enough, but to take 150 people with you.........

"Nowt as queer as folk" as some say here - that's to say: "there's nothing as strange as people".
Some deeds are unfathomable at first sight and some remain so even after in depth investigation. I do know that we (police officers) were always warned to keep out of reach of suicides if not secured to something as there was evidence to suggest they liked to take company with them though nobody could say why. Lets hope the investigators turn something up to bring us a little understanding of this horrible crime.

I lean to the side of believing it was a tragic mistake and not intentional. I hope this proves the case. 150 people is a disaster and then you have to think of the children on board too. All those lives.......

There have been too many unexplained Air crashes in the last twelve months.
Let us all hope this is the last for a very long time!

Brother pilots from around the world,
your comments are what make man kind and the human race so special
    These events are truly tragic,
while they touch our hearts with sympathy,
it is only when they reach you directly that they have a greater personal impact.

I am sorry to report that this morning I learnt that a fellow French work colleague
lost his life on the flight, leaving behind a wife and two young daughters.
    our thoughts go with them.
    RIP Dominique.

Few news stories these days can be said to be truly shocking, alas this is one of those. My thoughts and prayers go out to the lost souls and their devastated families.

Selfish Bastard if he wanted to commit suicide then its ok with me but to take 150 other people who do not not die makes him a murderer and not some one to feel sorry for just because he had a mental illness. By the way I to have depression and also have very bad days but I live through them without harm to others.

I hope that people will focus their thoughts and prayers on the victims and their relatives and friends rather than let the perpetrator seize the headlines which is apparently what he craved.
    R.I.P. those poor souls.

    How could they?

I can understand if they curse the responsible person.

Technical failure is one thing, the decision to crash a plane another.

I work at an airport, I believe that many workers, technicians and responsibles of Germanwings are unburdened now. ...and I feel more secure, when I know that this wasn't a technical failure of the Airbus A320, workhorse fo short and middle range flight routes.

I think we may have a translation problem Sven.
The people I was talking about were the news media who always say too much about the felon, making them some sort of celebrity. We should concentrate upon giving help to the sufferers.

    Oh, I guess you're right.

I wonder sometimes myself about the news we get.

Two weeks ago they reported in the 15 min evening news (prime time) about a bus accident in Brazil. I mean beside the tragedy - what information value has this for a typical middle European person?

This is the problem with "Globalisation" Sven. Worse they only report on the Bad News never on the Good.

Unfortunatley we are partly to blame, good news does not sell, but bad news and sport does, and their is nothing better than a villian or organisation to blame.
