Found some time evaporating away so here starts another bird I have wanted but could not find at a decent price in 1/200" scale

It was a retrofitted airliner; it was barely capable of the job it was given. There were numerous instances of fuselage breakage due to a lack of structural strength.

I bet none of Clipper's fuselages break like that Karl.

Day of the Condor - what a beauty, shame they used to break so easily but good job for us that they did !

These are going to be extra-sweet, Dave! Are you going to do them all in splinter camo, or will some be squigglified?

    All the best,
    Matt

3 Days of this Condor, leaving for a week and there is so much to do in the next 3 days, here is one of them . . .

A rather oddly elegant bird indeed!

Well Dave you have come up with another surefire winner there.
That will take our Carrier role to another dimension.
I'd better get those Seafires ready.

These really look lovely, Dave! I will definitely need to pick up one or two from you...although if I'm going to focus on late war Italy campaign, they won't get much use...

Nonetheless, they are too cool not to!

    All the best,
    Matt

Good news about Late war Italy Matt, because I am focusing on Malta and the Desert war as you know. We will have done it all between us. That is why I will ask Dave if I can buy a Fieseler Storch and Condor from him. I even have a camo pattern ready.

That will be a really nice version, Rob!

I figure by the end of the summer I will have slid to the Dark Side a bit... Perhaps Origins will give me some more nudging in that direction.

    All the best,

I think I could see myself flying some FW 200s against some ground (sea) targets...and I HAVE to get an FW 189 to turn into a Nachtjaeger to fly against Lancasters (along with a 110 and a JU 88)...

Anything else you could suggest would be listened to with rapt wonder, Rob!

    All the best,
