"Fallen" is not the correct term, it implies a fixed destination, WOW/WOG-WWI/WWII have no such place, you are truly stuck on the event horizon, falling forever like the rest of us, kind of like the other flies stuck on the flypaper wondering how long we will have to wait before our legs drop off and we will be free . . . my WWII count has surpassed my WWI collection-which is still growing . . . I had a fleeting hope that one day I would have or have made every plane flown in each war, only to be drawn into the endless cascade of proto-types and might have beens . . . folds of time, space, probability and infinity, all is growing lighter and darker at the same time, looking at molding in dark matter next . . .

    Just fancy that Dave?
You been talking to that Stephen Hawking again?
To think, before I read this post, I thought that all I needed was a bit of L space to put my models and books into.

The ships are so slow compared to the aircraft that some people are referring to it as Snails of Glory Tim.
So you can acclimatize to the idea of playing it very gently.

    OI!

I already have sea legs (having worn out my 'A' and 'B' legs, and may soon be moving on to 'D' legs....................

I have played six or seven games of Sails of War, and I reiterate I WILL NOT BE BUYING IT!!!!!!!!

    NO SAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I already have Rob's Malta fleet, and the Italians, in 1/3000 scale (no WGS Med ships for me!)
I already have more Full Thrust minis than I can ever use, and heaps of Star Trek minis (no Star Wars ships for me!)
I already have several WW2 armies in 1/285 and in 1/300 scale (no Flames of War for me!)
    Battleships? - I have loads
Ludo? - I'm a black belt (also in Origami!)
Snakes and Ladders...................................now, there's a challenge (must resist!)

I AM a man in a white coat! (at work, anyway).

Oh, by the way, did I happen to mention

    NO SAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Albatros DIIIs and SPAD VIIs by F-Toys (a dozen or so in total)

    I won't be getting any 1/144 WW2 planes - my collection is 1/200

but thanks for the extra temptation.......................

Excuse me for barging in again, but I'm tired of sculling around. I will not be thwarted so easily.
I am afraid that I will now have to take sterner measures to ensure sales of Sails to you Tim. So do not jib at the idea, but accept our broadsides, with a beam on your face, because you know that eventually you will keel over and bow to the inevitable.

WingCo, I <Cape> Fear you're mizzen the Point; I deck-clare I can't afford to take the plunge into another game, no matter how mast-erful your attempts at pun-ishment!

I think Tim needs only some further teasing at Donnie in September and his convertion to SoG will be ensured.
What about establishing a prize for some achievement and let him win a SoG expansion pack (a frigate)? Then the gamer in him will surely smell the blood. and ARES sells will sky rocket.
