Some nautical terms for you to get used to Tim:

    Helm-at: Nautical cap worn by a helm-sman

Helm-sman: A person at the helm

Helm-alee: Like banking left or right but away from the wind.

Helm: Equates to the joystick in this case joywheel.

Helm-ut: A different kind of cap.

    Hey chaps.
I'm away for a few days and the whole place turns nautical.
I need a stiff Port. One of the red ones, not those creme de menthe steerboard ones that they paint the sides of Russian ships with.

Arr me hearties, I got taken all aback by your efforts to run Tim aground financially.
Leave the brave pilot to fly his kites before he turns to bombing those 3 masters of yours.
Besides there are NO Cookies in Sails only Hardtack biscuits with weevils.
Your guns wont be able to reach him in the dizzy heights of 1917 & you might run afoul of a Dreadnaught or two.

    NO SAILS !

I do EVERYTHING with style (old style, usually!)

    However............

No Lancasters in the Battle of Britain!

No B-17Fs in the Pacific in 1941/42! (I could be tempted by a B-17C or D, though...............)

i certainly understand that as theyre so much more stylish then the later "big assed birds" but many more es were built and used than all the As,Bs,Cs, and Ds combined

    True, but not in 1941/42!

actually thats true in 41/42 as the E had gone into production before pearl harbor in light of the C and Ds failure in combat in british hands in 1940 as the fortress I. many Es (most produced before pearl harbor, in fact) were rushed to hawaii and the phillipenes (along with Cs and Ds)as a deterrent to japanese (didnt work obviously). ill have to look up the exact numbers but the pre E production of 17s is surprisingly small. i dont blame you for wanting an early shark fin 17 though. the "art deco bomber" is such an attractive bird and i wanted some for the game in the worsts way before i got mine (THANKS CLIPPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). truth is im a fan of the b17 in almost any configuration. except of course, minerva/aphrodite or qb-17 target drone that is............

First thing is to get yourself a sponsor Pete.
Preferably someone who has over 300 aircraft and also the largest Fleet in Sails.
He will be able to guide you along the slippery path of Wings of both eras.
    Rob.

I am going to avoid "Sails".
Lucky for me, a good friend of mine who is a naval fanatic, (who, I am sure, could identify any given ship in a photograph at 300 yards) lives 300 miles away, in another country.
Otherwise there would be no hope.
