Thread: "Looking out my Back Door!"

Exclamation "Looking out my Back Door!"

    "Looking out my back door"
Well actually looking out my bedroom French doors the other evening saw this big mob of Kangaroo's who grazed for quite a while & then hopped down to my Dam for a drink.

Thought you folk in the Northern Hemisphere might enjoy the sight.

Nice picture, Barry. The strangest event in my back garden was when two ducks made a nest and I do not have a pond.

Nice herd of skippies Barry! We had some horses come down our street today. They left us a present in the middle of the road.

    Very picturesque Baz.
The best I can do is the odd badger, unless I have too many G&Ts.

Interesting fauna you have out there, Baz; the best urban Akron can usually muster is a lot of tree rats AKA grey squirrels.
And local zoning won't let me eRATicate them

    Hi Jes!
Took a while but found some old photos from when the Dam had just been built & another taken when it finally filled.
Note the wood ducks on the road over the Dam wall.
It is 30 foot deep in the centre so evaporation is pretty low which helps in the hot Aussie summers.

Your own sea to fight naval battles in and a runway for your planes to take off from. Lovely
