Thread: 1916 or 1917?

    Smile 1916 or 1917?

A cry for knowledge from a novice pilot to experienced pilot's

    Fellow Pilot's

    I have acquired
    3 x Sopwith Camel's & 1 x SPAD XIII
    and
    2 x FOKKER DR.I & 2 x ALBATROSS D.Va

I believe these are typically 1917 era aircraft?

I have also purchased 3 x ROLAND CII for the 1916 era,

But am unsure what British Aircraft would be in the air at the same time?

I am looking more at RECCCE / FIGHTERS to start with rather than bombers
at this early stage as a pilot....

Any advice would be much appreciated ~ Thanks

    Regards

    Maverick

    DH4 late 1916
    F2b Brisfit also late 1916
    RE8 1917

These are still available, although RE8 is getting a bit sparse

Have a look in the files section. Several members have uploaded some very useful info to help you build your model collection.

    One example is here: http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/dow...do=file&id=217

I chose Summer 1917 to summer 1918 western front giving a wide choice of currently available Ares products. For those not currently available, Shapeways have a fantastic selection if you have some modelling skills.

Morane Saulnier N, Airco DH2, Nieuport 16, Nieuport 17, Spad VII, RAF RE.8, Sopwith Triplane all in 1916 Simon - you should find Spads & Tripes easily enough.
If you're looking outside of Ares, Strutters, Pups, Morane Saulnier Type L, Bristol Scout, RAF FE.2b, Vickers FB.5 'Gunbus', RAF BE2c would be around too.
