Thread: Need Japanese Medium Bombers? Here they are;)

Default Need Japanese Medium Bombers? Here they are;)

AIM offers a variety of 1/200 minis suitable for WGS right out "of the box" plus some painting
I have spent some Feb weekends to turn two of them into real WGS minis. Thanks to AA bases it is quite easy to get them into action (using Ju 88 bases).

And once the AVG gets done with them, they'll be "_Lily_s of the Valley".... >;)

Very nice Andrzej. Once my Kates and Bettys are done I'll have to get some of these beauties. I haven't seen that scheme yet but I have only looked for what I have to paint.
Are they from a special unit?

Thank you Karl, I think the card I downloaded from some place on the Forum is right. What do you think?

The card I posted above was a rough reference for my scheme, Peter. I painted green stripes over aluminium colour, but am not sure if this was the right. Some pictures show a kind of overall sand colour.

Yours are absolutely fine, Barry. Funny we both placed similar tail markings.

As with most planes, seems to be a tough decision what way to paint them. Many good color schemes to choose from! I love the classic green but some of the camo schemes are fantastic. I guess it comes to just having 2 or 3 sets of each plane in different colors.

    Great planes guys!

You both did great jobs on Lily's. If i was starting out i would go with AIM`s fine line!

I would go with a D deck, 20 hits, 11 ceiling, 5 climb for the Ki-48-I; go to 21 hits and 12 ceiling for the Ki-48-II.
Guns for both are Front fixed (A/A), Dorsal gun (standard rear arc, A/A), ventral gun (rear arc, low only, A/A).

Very nice planes, Andrezj and Barry. If I keep seeing neat models like these it may be enough to get me into the WWII game.
