Default TB-6 Bomber! Make a LOT of room!

So someone tempted me a while back and the time of Lent is a great time to face your temptations . . .

At 1/200" scale she spans just over 19" . . . so there!

Most of the bits are here, still to do is the landing gear and above wing engine mounting struts . . . spot the Me-109?

Nice looking; I think I'd freak if I was the Bf-109 pilot

What a beast! That's gonna be a gob and a half of resin going into that beauty, Dave...

I look forward to your progress on this.

    All the best,
    Matt

Can you take a pic of this thing next to a standard 12" ruler, just so we can get a sense of how stupidly huge it is? :)

Here you are, I tossed in the TB-3 and a Lancaster as well . . .

What a crazy picture - this really puts its size in perspective! That IS going to be a lot of resin to pour for this beastie...

    Amazing as always, David.

    All the best,

That's way, way, way to big! 3 of those on a table and there would be no room for anything else. Though I suppose it depends on the size of the table but as swmbo says size isn't everything but that's another story entirely.
See you on the Dark Side......

The base for that plane will be bigger than the gun range.

No, this thing gets handled like zeppelins in _Crimson Skies_ -- it stays in one place, and everything else is moved *around* it.

Yeh, at 185mph, it's not going anywhere fast
And forget about a climb rating; if it dives, it's staying down

I'm thinking a pair of TB-3's under wing as parasite bombers each with a set of parasite fighters under each of their wings, kind of a super crazy Russian doll thing ad infinitum ...

This is absolutely massive, Dave! Wowwie kazowwie!

And your Russian nesting plane idea is just sick... How many 109s would it take to shoot it down?

You never cease to amaze - thanks for the inspiration!
    All the best,

Or in 1/72nd scale, you would have to house it in an RAF hanger if they had a big enough left. But none the less a fine model David :thumbsup
It has got to be said when the Russian's build a bomber they build a squadron in one plane
