Does anyone out there speak Greek? I'm trying to find a good translation for vigilant or to be ready/prepared, or one who is prepared.
Thanks!

I don't speak it, but assuming you want modern Greek not ancient, I suspect "σε εγρήγορση" is in the right ballpark - translates as vigilant or alert.
Depending on how successful I can get the modern translation, I might want to work on getting the ancient version as well.
Google translates vigilant to " επαγρύπνηση " as well and alert to " άγρυπνος ".
I think "επαγρύπνηση" on its own is "vigilance" - ie. simply the verb rather than actually "vigilant".
I asked our resident Greek & Latin scholar and he gave me these: Vigilantia in Latin, and in Greek prometheis (forethinking, cautious, provident) as in Prometheus.
σε εγρήγορση επαγρύπνηση άγρυπνος ... that's Greek to me!!
Ok, just kidding ...
actually, in Greek, "be ready" it is "Έσω Έτοιμος" that would be the translation from the Latin "estote parati" or be ready/vigilantes.
That it also would be the Baden-Powell's Scouts motto.
Does this help?

PM Roen911 boss - he's Greek.
"He is wise who watches"
I will eat my hat if this is not correct.
ἕτοιμος
tranliteration: hetoimos,
Phonetic Spelling: het-oy'-mos
Short definition: ready, prepared.
Definition: hétoimos (from heteos, "fitting") – ready because prepared; "standing by," ready to meet the opportunity (challenge) at hand; ready because the necessary preparations are done (or are sure to happen as needed).

See you on the Dark Side......
Classical Greek: Prepare: Paraskeua (Pa-rra-skee-a) Note: that is double rr as in the way Scot's roll their r's.
See you on the Dark Side......
In Serbian it would be: It's all Spanish villages to me
