Could anyone help me source 1/1200 or 1/1250 scale US and Japanese WW2 ships. Especially Japanese carriers, any cruisers, any destroyers. I've seen the superior ones from US. Just wondering if there were any others.
Thanks in advance.

See you on the Dark Side......
It's a bit of an awkward scale on a wargames budget - a lot of the stuff out there in 1/1200 is firmly aimed at the "collectors" market, and painfully expensive.... (Eg. the 1/1250 from Navis Neptun in Germany - a big range, and lovely models, but you're talking twenty quid for a destroyer....)
The one reasonably priced option that springs to mind is Mick Yarrow, although right now his website's down. From Google though:

Probably worth dropping him a line....
The other one that springs to mind is Clydeside, but they appear to operate under some kind of batch production system - their website has hardly anything available - rather you have to hunt for them on Ebay or through other resellers. Similar rummaging might also get you models from the long-gone Ensign Models range (not to be confused with White Ensign Models.)
Finally for the larger stuff there's the occasional plastic kit - Revell have Shinano, Yamato and Missouri currently in production, but the kit firms don't tend to do cruisers or smaller - just a few BBs and carriers.

Ebay has a lot of 1/1200 ships up for bid.
There are some 1/1200 wood ships but only 2 hours left to bid on them.
Managed to procure some of Mick Yarrows excellent ships Dom. Cheers for the heads up. Have decided to scratch build a battleship and a few carriers. (Well I have in production 5 fleet carriers and 1 light carrier having completed 1 sea plane tender, 1 light carrier and a battleship)
