    Default Triples 16 &17 May 2015

    I will be writing off to Sheffield Wargames society for tables at Triples in the next week of so.
    Again we will definately be doing WW1 the question is do
    I ask for more tables for WW2 and/or SGN ?

    So any one wanting to do Triples this year, if so what do you wish to do ?
    Let me know and I will organise the tables etc

    I will do both days Chris - count me in for either WW1 or 2 - also what about getting a SoG table this year?

    This event clashes with Praguefest I'm afraid Chris. So again I will have to consider carefully as I was hoping to go to Prague.

    Today is the day for booking tables for Triples

    Do we want one or two tables, previous years we had one and we were pushed to get al played
    Last year I booked two tables and we ended up barely able to cover.

    So 1 table for WW1 as usual, but do I book another table for WW2 or leave.
    So far I have Hedeby definate, Flying Helmut and Scafloc possibles
    Let me know please so I can get off our booking

    Looking at the current response, I am booking one table for WW1 only
    This willl give us all a chance to play, assist and have a look around the show.
    If there is space then I will ask for more on the day

    OK that sounds sensible - lets hope its a better show than last year, we were great - rest of the show not so

    Quality beats quantity every time. Better to have 1 good table than spread ourselves too thin.

    Sorry no, we're on an RP holiday as of Wednesday and won't be back in time.

    Confirmation mail received, we got one table for WW1 both days.
    I will post an agenda and the numbers we can get in to assist.
    Of course it will be great to see all, so keep this in mind

    Hi All, apologies for the excessive delay, I will not bore you with details, just had too much going on in the back ground.
    So format for Triples

    WW1 table for both days.

    Game 1 Early was thinking Pups V Albatross DII

    Game 2 Mid Here was looking at Neuports V DR1

    Game 3 Chippy Raid / Bratie Raid Sat we do the Bratie raid, DH4 being attacked by Fokker DVII and maybe Phalz DXII ( if anyone got any ) Sun Gotha raid I can supply three Gotha, Tim if you can bring some along and Neil can I ask you to be controller aka WMMS please.

    Game 4 most likely only the Saturday Brisfits ( For Hedeby) V Halberstadts CL's - I got my flight of Yellow Halbs )

    Names for entrance, sorry we only got 4 tickets , but Sunday Ill push for an extra or Chris keep your Saturday pass.

    To bring,
    Ill supply cockpits and a few aircraft plus mats
    Tim can you bring your set up of mats, clouds and aircraft
    Neil your control for the Gotha raid, it will not be as big as WMMS and the Banner.
    Rob & Chris just bring yourselves and some aircraft you want to fly and the Banner and flags please Rob.

    Of course I hope we see others there and you will be free to join in over the weekend, I am just limited to tickets this year.

    Lastly see that all SWMBOS have done the appropriate laundry .... Hedeby !!!!!... and we are all suitably attired in the correct shirts

    Any questions feel free to PM me and see you in a few weeks in Sheffield.

    Simon (Maverick) bring along anything you want to use.

    Will bring along a few colourful aircraft....
    no doubt we will have enough Mats?
    if any extra mats needed I will put some in the car just in case

    If Tim brings his Gothas and we all do the same we will be pushing the WMMS record. I can bring 2 and 2 AEG GIV's.

    I can run up to 22 Gotha's, upto 5 AEG's and up to 2 Freddies too. I would restrict the bombers to 12 max. Then we can move them and play altitude (simplified) if you all wish.

    Aircraft;- Nieuports, Dr1s, DH4s, DVIIs, DXIIs, Gothas no problem. Other odds and sods available, but no Pups (yet!)

    Can't wait chaps, not taken to the air for a few weeks, although have a session lined up at local venue on Thursday - best get some practice in, lol

    I like the idea of fewer planes but with movement etc. try and actually stop them bombing the target - WMMS record was incredible but did take about 4 hours to thin the Gotha hoard out...
    Even with me downing seven of them... (but I wasn't counting)

    I will be attending Triples on the Sunday with the Squadron Leader Neil (Skafloc), Tom (Indie55) and also my Brother Ian. So I will have a full load.
    I'll have to keep reminding Neil on the way down, that my car is not a staff car even if he provides some small pendants for the front wings and sits in the back giving out orders!

    Just as a point of information, are any of you chaps doing triples booked in anywhere for Saturday night and if so where. I'm looking for somewhere preferably with a bar.

    I'm in the Premier Inn Meadowhall, about a mile or so from the venue.
