4 Sopwith Pups in desperate need of numbering, can anyone recommend period declas (not from Dom's decals as I would like them this year not 2016! )

I need white and black that will go on the wings and fuselage, any help would be appreciated.

A company called Freightdog Models (www.freightdogmodels.co.uk) has reprinted a sheet of Pegasus RFC codes and numbers in 1/72 which will do for the fuselage, but not big enough for the wings. Other than that you could look at Shed decals (http://www.helmet-aircraft-200.co.uk...d-combo-decals). While these are primarily WW2 decals in 1/200, you might find something to fit the bill, particularly the bomber size codes. The downside is that this will be an expensive option.

Since I'm not running "Two Fisted Pilot Tales" at the moment, I can't say that these are actually on my workbench for this month. But I got a bunch of Pulp Minis for Xmas, and I'm sorely tempted to start working on these so they will be ready when I run it again.

Rob are those Merit TBD's ? I decided how to mount mine so I should take a photo and post.

Yep. They are the Merit ones, all the way from Sprue-Bros. Bob.
they are very light and I intend to just drill a hollow and glue one of Keith's magnetic ball-bearings onto each plane.

Try I-94 Enterprises. They have some WW1 items and they are fast at least in the US shipping.

I mounted mine the way I do the 1/144 planes I have. I use a LITKO base, ball bearing and a K&J magnetic ring mount. Works well.

    I know.

And if you just have the pieces in your girlfriends sons LEGO-box to choose from it's even harder.

An interloper has thrown out my schedule for January. With the arrival of a very sad looking lead casting of HMS Warspite, I have stripped off the old peeling paintwork, and filed off all the non authentic decking etc.
With parts from my bits box and a Revel kit of The Duke of York, I am now attempting to put together a more accurate rendition of the ship as it appeared in 1941.
Here are some pictures of progress so far.

Stripped down and all offending parts removed.

Taking a break from Wings of Glory miniature work and focusing on a 1/32 scale Wingnut Wings Albatros D.Va (AOW) build.

The pilots chair was modified as the stock piece had no detail at all, so I sculpted in the indentations and added brass buttons etc. after.

Many thanks, but honestly I stand on the shoulders of giants when it comes to scale modeling.

One of the things I have learned from larger scale models is to treat each part as a separate model in it's own right. So the seat section, Fuel/ammo section, Engine all got treated as small individual projects and given 100% attention then next project is the dashboard and small instruments, these will be then added to the main build.

Here is the engine..... a very dirty one at that! Lot's of additional detail from spark plugs to jump wires, fuel and cooling lines, insulation wrap around carbs etc. Honestly you could spend months just getting that 100% historically and mechanically perfect!

Yes those rounds are dice : 6-sided and 10-sided dice, representing 9mm and 5.56mm bullet-sizes respectively. Those dice are part of the game.
