I am not an official member of the Wing but rather a honorary one (that status I like so much) so thank you WingCo for the greetings I am enjoying a Scottish drink by now to celebrate the reunion with my closest and we all are sending you chaps the warmest greetings from here as well.
Tomorrow morning we are setting off for a rather exotic trip so I'll be off line for a some days and will get back with (hope) some memoirs to share with you.
So Merry Xmas and Happy New Year dear friends

    Have a great trip Andy.
Now I'm off to try and do justice to that bottle of Gin which you so kindly donated to the Kyte Cellar in the Autumn.

A few pictures from Vermont, where a "White Christmas" is more than a melody. We could use decorating ideas for the old battleaxe on the chimney. Apparently asking suggestions for beautifying an old battleaxe is tantamount in some quarters to waving a red flag in front of a bull. Of possible general interest is the hand and a half sword next to the aforesaid axe. That is a reproduction from the same blade makers of the sword of a very distant ancestor who received enthusiastic but ultimately terminal treatment in 1308 in the Tower of London. The original is in the Wallace Monument in Stirling.

    Have a great holiday!
