Thread: Need card for Halberstadt D.II

Default Need card for Halberstadt D.II

    Hey guys,

I need the card for the Halberstadt D.II, preferably either an A.I file or PSD so that I can make modifications to the aircraft to match the paint schemes. Failing that one in light blue or even failing that a cream or white version I can colour.

Need it for a rather big solo game I will be playing over the winter holiday.

    Thanks guys!

Max Headroom did me a card for the light blue Halberstadt, have a look in either his album or the files, if not I'll try to get it to you this week, it's standard size but you should be able to blow it up to what you need

The line drawing for the base of a card could start with this?

Is this the plane you're looking for?

[Edit: this is a D.V, according to Steve [Guntruck]!]

Here's one Max did, that I reposted:

Not sure about the stats, though. the files don't seem to have a D.II.
I'll give it a look when I get home from work today.

I've got a psd file James, used it for these (althought the stats should be P manoeuvre deck, assuming D.III and D.II had similar performance):

PM me if you need something else.

That's perfect, as these are the aircraft I need them for! Yep the deck is a P any chance you could send me the psd?

In trying to find drawings of the Halbersrtadt D.II, I found two different wing shapes. Also, two different exhaust pipes. Were there a few different marks or versions?

Mike , have you by any chance created a plane card for TBD-1 Devastator Torpedo Bomber and a SBD-3 Dauntless Dive Bomber ? Will need them for my CV 6 Enterprise Squadrons to take on the inscrutable IJN next year.

I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings

From what I can gather from the Windsock publication on the subject, it appears that the D.II had the 'sticky-out' ailerons, while the D.V had straight wings/ailerons. Jame's models look like D.Vs rather than D.IIs, given the wing and the radiator shape. The D.II was powered by a 120hp Mercedes with a long exhaust pipe down the starboard side; the D.V was powered by a 120HP Argus with a short exhaust that vented over the side.

    Steve,
So, I found this drawing, also labeled as a D.II:

Then, I should label the first drawing I posted as a D.V?

You are hijacking a thread, Paul.

Max Headroom has a Dauntless from VT-8, reloaded by Karl [Jager] here: Jager's Reloads -WGS USA Planes

Oops. VT-6 was on the Enterprise, sorry. One for that here, too: Jager's Reloads -WGS USA Planes

From what I quickly found, the D.II and D.III should have the same stats, so the P deck.

Looking through my custom cards, I found this:

It appears to have the same outline as the D.II? Am I confused, or what?

Should the D.III have the exhaust over the top wing, like the D.V?

For the new style cards you need Mocha Mattari. For the old style you want Duality and Emma Script MVB

Does anyone have emma script.... it's been pulled from dafont and other sites

Seems to have been pulled from a lot of sites for copyright issues.

    Try:

    https://www.fontyukle.net/en/Emmascript+MVB.ttf

    http://ufonts.com/fonts/emmascript-mvb.html

Otherwise it's about Ł39 to buy

Tried that - no option list appears, just a red security pop-up box from Mcafee saying "DANGER - do you really want to do this?"

    I'm not going there again
