It looks like Valom 1/144 scale Fokker Dr.1 kits are now available. I have not bought any. I have just see them advertised on this website.

I imagine I'll have to get at least one box of Tripes ...thanks for letting us know it's available!
All the best,
Matt
According to text from SWMBO mine arrived today from Hannants. Not a really inspiring choice of schemes I feel. I shall be resorting to the Aviation Wings sheets, available in Aerodrome Accessories.

Thanks for the information

Well I really don`t desperately need these since I`ve a good few Dr!`s already and I`m still working on their Nieuport and D VII models BUT........
Stop me somebody!!!!!!!!
Stop Robert.
Did that do it?

Here's a first look at the contents of the Valom Fokker box
Fuselage, wings, tail and other bits plastic, etched brass wing and undercart struts, and a resin engine and cowling. Decals are nice even if the schemes are somewhat predictable.

Thanks for the yellow upper wing, Steve :

Thanks for posting the pictures, Steve - it looks like a nice model. I'm sure I'll snag one or two sets when my dealer here in the States starts advertising them...
All the best,
Matt
Question:
"What is the Valom Dr1 like to build?" I am considering doing the Werner Voss version as I see that there is a decal set for Voss's machine on e-bay.
How do they build up? Are they strong enough for table-top or would the etched brass undercarriage require a reinforce strut of stretched polystyrene sprue super-glued to it?
Barry
I haven't built my Valom Dr1s yet (two are on the workbench queue at the moment!) but I have built, and used, a pair of Valom Fokker DVIIs.
They are PLENTY strong enough for table use (NB - they do have more interplane struts than the Dr1).
I hope to start the Dr1s soon, and will report on their suitability when I get to fly them.
