Default New to Wings of Glory but not the obsession with WW1 flying

    Hi Everyone,

Just received my first duel pack along with a couple of extra models from Keith. Hope to play my first game this evening if I can get my teenage son away from his guitar for a few minutes. I've had a passion ever since I was 10 years old and read my dads copy of "Iron Men with Wooden Wings" by Lou Cameron. Great story telling if not always the best history but it lit the fire in me for the era, men and machines.

I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and hope to possibly find a game. I have some friends that play every so often but they tell me it might not come around in their gaming rotation until spring soo...

The game is awesome, as is the Forum - enjoy both as often as possible!

On behalf of the Squadrons based over the pond here in Dear old Blighty, welcome to the Drome Paul.
I'm sure that when your son sees you playing, he will soon become inquisitive.

    Paul,
Welcome to the Forum from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. The Great Wet North. Not like the rest of Canada, the Great White North (They're a bit colder).

We've already connected on your Prop Disk thread, hope the info was useful.

Enjoy the Forum. Lots of good people and material to further the addiction.

My son and I just played two games. His Snipe against my Fokker DVII. We had so much fun he insisted on a 3rd go! It was great to see him plotting his next maneuvers.

Welcome, Paul, from Akron Ohio. I run a some small gaming events time to time. I'll post in the US wing forum when I do. Maybe not too far for a day trip?

They'll be on Saturdays; probably the next one will be sometime early spring (actually, Northern Ohio WargamerS is having their first micro-con on 10-JAN, but I already have plans for that day )
