Let me know your thoughts. Just want a quick battle for the first one as a 'warm up' before the real fights start
I like the idea of that.. I will remember to pack my Ace skills deck...

I don't really know if i should have started a new thread for this but it is really aimed at the people attending WMMS so i thought i would pose the question here. Do we think it would be a good move to purchase some spare copies of WOG from Amazon , retailing at £23.13 at the moment and sell them to anyone interested at the show. I bought a spare myself with this idea in mind

In short Trevor yes, but we must not tread on the toes of the Traders or upset the Organizers by selling goods without paying for a pitch. So we would need to clear it with the Organizing committee.

    Rob.
How about getting one of the existing traders to have a sub let area selling on your table. Just collect the money on their behalf and sell their merchandise for them. Pop a business card in the bag and everyone is happy?

The general thing for selling is, putting on a game we get a table and free entry for a number of members, between , usually 4 and 8.
Traders usually have to pay for their slot, which is why we usually cannot sell items to the public, traders pay for a slot , gamers do not.
The way gamers can sell is a Bring and Buy, or a private sale, but you can't advertise said sale otherwise you become a trader etc .
This is what was explained to me by various organisers of shows we have attended.
I suppose it could depend on the organisers but that is what I have been working to

As far as I know, that has always been the status Chris.
Way back in the early eighties when we did shows the rules were the same.

Indeed this is the generally accepted etiquette. I recall our club getting hauled over the coals at Salute one year because we had a few second hand books for sale and the traders complained. On reflection it seemed an entirely reasonable position for the organisers to take.

I think if we go down this road we may end up being shown the door and asked not to return. Nice idea but fraught with many pitfalls and minefields, including the odd barrage balloon and 'triple A' too of course.

There's nothing stopping you putting some on the Bring 'n' Buy at the price you paid for them.

With the plethora of Biff's coming (Planes not pilots, apologies) I fear we might have need for reinforcements. At present I think we are upto 12+ Gotha's, 3 AEG GIV's and 2 surprise late additions.

Could be the start of a world record, how many Flight of Giants can you get into one game?

Sadly will not be able to attend WMMS this year. Can't get a lift and the wife is unable to bring me. Hope everyone has a great time - things look as if they are shaping up very well.

Ok Chaps need a headsup (final one) of who is bringing what. So far we have:

    Myself: 4 Gotha, 2 AEG GIV's and 1 Staaken.
Rob: 3 Gotha, 1 AEG GIV, 1 Staaken 1 Freidrichshaven
    Hedeby: 2 Gotha.
    Trev: 2 Gotha
    Tim: 6+ Gotha
    Boney10: 2 Gotha, 1 Freidrichahaven.

Anymore, final count tomorrow night so I can get the damage sheet completed. Cheers for everyone who is chipping in.

It's gonna be a bigun! Miss this at your peril.

Just to put everyone in the picture.

    1. We set up the flights of giants game.
    2. The bombers don't move.
    3. The Entente attack. (and get shot down again and again...and again).
    4. When the time is up we tally the scores.
    5. The only German planes that move will be the 3 escorting AEG GIV's.

Require 3 German pilots. A: to fly the AEG's and B: To fire the guns on the bombers at targets. I will run the damage board again.

It's Swordfish and Fulmers Neil, unless you fancy a bit of extra painting. The Albacores are not even in the pipeline yet.
We used Fulmers for Taranto at Donny. They are indeed packed for your delectation.
