    Default Wrong flight bases in boxes ordered off Amazon - any suggestions?

    Dear all

    Last month I ordered 8 models from Amazon. The models arrived promptly but of the four FW190s I'd ordered I only opened one of the boxes to have a look at the model. Everything was in order.

    Today I opened the rest of the boxes and found that each of the remaining three models has the flight stand for a P51 Mustang, with all the mustang data on the base of the stand. Fortunately I have the correct aircraft cards and manoeuvre deck in each box.

    The models were actually dispatched from Amazon EU S.a.r.L.

    I know this is not a major problem as I have all the info on the aircraft card, plus the correct manoeuvre deck but it is annoying. I can easily make up a label with the correct details to stick on the base over the Mustang details but it is annoying considering the cost of the models.

    Has anyone had similar problems?

    Considering that Amazon is just the retailer is it worth contacting Ares about the problem? I would prefer to have the correct bases in possible.

    Suggestions welcomed.

    Send an email with a photo to Ares.
    They are very competent in righting these problems.

    Yes Max.
    I just opened the second one of mine from AA and its stand is the same.
    I intend to let Ares know.

    Ares stands behind their stuff, you should have no issues getting the problem rectified.

    They do better than rectify it - rather than sending the missing part, you get a whole new model

    I've just sent off an e-mail to Ares, with some pictures of the pack contents.

    I'll wait and see what happens.

    Apparently Ares like to send gifts along with the solution of the problem!

    Correct replacement flight stands arrived in the post this morning from Ares in the USA. :-)

    No freebies though... :-(

    Still, it is nice to know that if there is a problem with a new model the company will sort it out without any fuss.
