Wonderful display and after action report Mike. Your devotion to the Game has just been rewarded with some rep, that obviously does not reflect your deeds properly and sufficiently.
and a glass of red wine to your health!

"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
I ran five games over three days, and with the assistance of Shane and David, and the awesome crowd drawing power of the big toys made by Dave [clipper1801], it was a good event (despite my whining).
This was much, much bigger than BottosCon, by an order of magnitude (GottaCon 3,000+ vs BottosCon 400-ish). The final headcount isn't on the GottaCon site.
Even though some of the people stopping by didn't play, I obviously affected a few passers-by, considering the comments on Facebook. I did hand out a lot of Aerodrome Business cards (Link to them: Aerodrome Business Cards), so hopefully we see some of the Victoria residents signing up. I told them to search for GottaCon and there would be links to the creative genius of Dave [clipper1801] and his elves.
Here are a few other behind the scenes helpers:
WWI:
Zeppelin by Dave [clipper1801]: One of his many builds
Turn Summaries by Beau [Beaunanza] (Link)
Actually a few of his helper sheets were used, look around the files for more.
The late LGKR's [LGKR] Critical Hits Deck made an appearance, as we discussed the Boom card. I was relating an event in Raymond Collishaw's book about his control stick getting shot through, and ending his fight. He crash landed, more by luck than skill(?) and I pulled out the deck, drew a card, and that very event was the critical hit I drew. Deck found here: Game Aids: Critical Hits Deck
"Raymond Collishaw and his Black Flight" by Roger Gunn, ISBN 978-1-4597-0660-6, pg 110
WWII:
The HMS Glroious by Dave [clipper1801]: Among many other carriers
Play aids from Jan [Lino22][Honza] (WWII cockpits and the BW Special Damage Overviews) and Max Headroom's New Fliers Help Sheet.
Smoke and Flame by Peter [Teaticket] (Link: How to make and paint up smoke and flames).
Big Thanks to the Aerodrome Team!

Great reports and pictures here, Mike! WELL DONE
The venue looks pretty light and open - easy to move around in. And the Zeppelin and HMS Glorious can't help but be spectacular and draw crowds. VERY cool stuff.
Hope you can get some R&R now that you're home.
All the best,
Matt
A very entertaining account of the attack on Furious Mike.
My word it does look good especially in close up.
Thanks for covering your Con so well for us.
It was great to see the venue and all the action.

Thanks for posting all the Pictures and doing the AAR Mike!... It was a good time and even though we were tired I think inCONceivable will be even better with the things we learnt from this last one... I think you did manage to get a few more players out there and next years GOTTACON could even be better... I'll play more WGF and WGS as well. we just have to make sure the mini coordinator hands out a couple of presenter passes...
Thank again for putting this together you did a top notch job!!
It was nice to meet you at Gottacon, Mike. Thanks for all your efforts - Christian Tervo and I had fun at the Dogfight Challenge, and the Zeppelin hunt was a blast! Just getting into the game, but I've been a Great War aviation enthusiast since watching "The Blue Max" as a kid.
Very nice action!
Thanks for posting the pics.
Gerald,
It was great seeing some new (to me) players. Thanks for joining in, and glad you had fun.
I'm very glad you joined the Wings of Glory community here on the Forum, too. We can stay connected, and next trip down the the big city, we can get together for another game or two.
Say hi to the Canadian team in the Canadian Wing Forum, too.
Mike

On behalf of the Squadrons based here over the pond in Dear old Blighty may I welcome you to the Drome Gerald.
My sister in Law hails from BC so I may even run into you one day.
