I sitting here, breakfast done (and the dishes waiting), a light snow coming down making our 100 year old street quite pretty, and the stress of the last few work weeks passing away,
I'd like to wish all my Messmates a happy thanksgiving. While an American holiday, I'm sure it is celebrated in some form (and date) or another around the world.
I'd like to give thanks for my loving wife, my family and my friends, both here and elsewhere. I'd like to give thanks for the knowledge I have been shown, the wonders I've been privileged to see, and the tales and songs that have been heard.
And I would like to give thanks for those seated here now, and the privilege of being in your company.
God's blessings and good cheer to you all.
