Radio 2 Interview of Eric "Winkle" Brown
Heads up for those interested:
On the Jeremy Vine show today, which starts after the news at 12:00, he will be interviewing 95yr old Eric "Winkle" Brown - Captain Eric Melrose Brown CBE, DSC, AFC, KCVSA, PhD Hon FRAeS, RN is his full title - who has flown 487 different types of aircraft , a current world record, in his job as a test pilot.

His autobiography "Wings on my Sleeve." is an exceptionally enlightening story, especially the part concerning testing Carrier landings, and the immediate situation in post war Germany.
Well worth a read.

Particularly since we both hail from the same part of the world!
