Welcome to the Aerodrome, Nic, from here near Norwich in the United Kingdom. As regards the next planes to buy, you must decide whether you wish to concentrate on a particular theatre of war or buy any planes. If you click on the Aerodrome Store link at the top of the page, you will get some idea as to what planes are available at the moment.
Hello Nic - welcome to the 'drome from here in the UK
Welcome from Cape Cod. In the files section you can find maps to download. Bring the file to a place that will have a large printer.
Welcome from rainy Poland, Nic
I print my maps on vinyl in a friendly local print shop. They are priced app. 20-40 € depending on size.

On behalf of the Squadrons based here in Dear old Blighty, welcome to the Drome Nic.
I'm sure all your questions will have an answer shortly.
In the meantime have a look here.

You recalled my old thread, Rob, so I have just posted a mat example there...

welcome to the drome nic!!! the short answer for planes is at least 1 of each lol. the fokker d7s will probably sell out fast so get them while theyre hot. id add 2 seaters as they really add to the versatility of your scenarios. id also look at getting at least a couple bombers as, the german ones at least, sold out fast the 1st time they were offered, who knows when theyll be reprinted again.
Welcome, Nic. Pick which theatre you want to focus on to determine what planes to buy next. For myself, I buy planes from all of the non-Pacific theatres. When I first started playing, I bought planes just to run a few Battle of Britain games.
I actually use green or blue patterned broadcloth for game mats. I purchase mine at JoAnn Fabrics.
Welcome to the Drome Nic, from Middlesex in the U.K.
G'day Nic & welcome to the 'drome on behalf of the pilots who fly in NSw down in Australia.
As far as what aircraft to buy---well a couple of 2 seaters to allow you to play recon, artillery & bombing missions & that will give you the choice of more scenarios.
I actually like the early War aircraft like the Fokker eindekker E.III, the DH-2, Albatross D.II, Halberstadt, Morane & SPAD VII.
Good Luck & keep us all informed of your progress.
Welcome from the Pacific theater!
Welcome from sunny Leicestershire
