Anyone know of a site that has both color profile and plan views for various aircraft from the Battle of Britain? It seems everyone and their step-brother does color profiles, but very few offer plan views

Don't know about a site boss, but I have a book called "The Battle of Britain." Camouflage and markings 1940. which has several aircraft which have both.
Tell me what you are after and I will scan them in for you.
Rob.
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
Thanks Rob. Have an ISBN for that book, would not mind looking it up.
I'm mainly looking for the main types for BoB:
Hurricane
Spitfire
Bf 109
Bf 110
JU 88
HE 111
One set of matched profile and plan view for each of those would suffice for my needs now.
I should add I need to print these for personal use, so image quality is important.
Anyone have any experience with the Casemate decal books like this one.
I'll see what I can do then.
Rob.

I see you do not mention the Do17 Herr Oberst, just curious is all

I have the AIRFILE book from CASEMENT but it only has the color profiles. I have seen the decal book but really never looked very close. The only other one I can think of would be the OSPREY books. The other may be the Squadron/Signal books. I have one for the Fw 190 and there is plan view of it.
Bob, do those AIRFILE books have both profile and plan views of the same plane? How many different planes do they do this for?
Thanks.
I Think I got a couple of the Bombers, will look when I get home this weekend
Thanks.
The book 'The Battle of Britain' by Jon Lake (ISBN 1-85605-535-3, published by INDEX) has 3-view (top, front & profile) colour pictures of the main aircraft spread through the text, only one of each plane though.
There are these but the quality is probably not good enough for what you want
They come from this website http://freespace.virgin.net/ian.clarence/bob.htm
Well,
For Bf-109s, you could use this site: Asisbiz.com Bf-109 Camouflage
Hmmm... The Hawker Hurricane site I used to do my No.1 Sqn RCAF redecals is not working anymore. It was at "http://hawker-hurricane.coffeecup.com"
There are other sites I've used, but nothing encompassing nor consistent in quality.

Thanks David, I'll see if I can find images of the pics they have in side that book. Amazon as a preview, but none of the images are included
Mike, that 109 site has some good line drawings, but the coloring is not up to what I need.
Anyone with any of the Osprey line of books on these aircraft? My collection is centered on WWI.
I use them as guides, and use color chips and RGB guides to do my graphics. Is there a specific resolution or product you are looking for?

Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
Looks as if I have been preempted Keith.

The AIRFILE books only have color plates, which are great. I know the Squadron books have the plan drawings.
Those look really good. What's the ISBN for that book?
Those might be a little heavy on the shadows for what I need... but that HE-111 monster is awesome!
Might be Steve, ultimately I'm looking for some that look a little more realistic. But you posted quite a few that I might end up using. Thanks for that mate.
I really wish Dekker Thierry did plan views as well:
Uh, they wouldn't do as direct-scans, but if you could find a line drawing the old Osprey Aircam series has some pretty good color-maps for general camo. Yes, they're in black and white (shades of gray), but at least they do inform what areas need to be what colors--they also had some very nice Specials on colors and markings of various bomber units.
I'll check what data I've found online about them, and see if I can refine the targeting on this.
Aircam Special #1 was a BoB special-edition re Hurricane, Spitfire and Bf109. Special 10 is LW bomber camo and markings, includes the Ju88 and He111, 11 is Luftwaffe vol. 2 which includes the Bf110.
Aircam 4 is the 1 to 16 marks of Spitfire, 24 is the Hurricane, 39 is Bf109B-E models and 42 is the Experten.
One of these days I'm going to put together an index of the various Osprey, Squadron/Signal, Detail & Scale, and Warbird Tech Series volumes of relevance to this site... better as an Excel doc, a forum thread or a blog entry?
Try 'World War II Combat Aircraft'. ISBN 88-8095-688-4
It will have what you need. Unfortunately some of the larger planes are across the binding. HE 111, Ju 88, Do 17. You could mirror half the plane for those.
There is no ISBN for my book Keith, but you can see it here on Amazon.

Sorry I took so long, but I had to find the book.
