Thread: BottosCon 2015 - Preparation and Planning

Default BottosCon 2015 - Preparation and Planning

BottosCon 2014 has barely wrapped up, and I haven't yet written all the After-Action Reports, but planning for Wings of Glory's BottosCon 2015 appearance will need some effort.

The past two years have seen prominent models that have attracted lots of attention to the game, if not actually getting new players involved (Thanks, Dave[clipper1801]!):

    BottosCon - 2013
    BottosCon - 2014

I haven't played much of Wings of Glory's WWII, but have a small collection of Battle of Britain planes. For BottosCon 2015, going bigger for visual appeal will take some work. SWMBO has suggested an aircraft carrier, and that will definitely make a splash! HMS Glorious in Norway, 1940, would fit with my collection.

However, perhaps some other forum members, who have WWII collections, could assist? Dave [clipper1801] is suggesting a traveling convention kit for Midway!?! Maybe, the members of the Forum could put together a "road show" much like the Aerodrome World Tour?

Lots of ideas, please jump in, if you can help, or wish to contribute.

    Update:

Dave [clipper1801] is an Awesome dude! Take a look at this thread: HMS Glorious in 1/200 scale

Now I have to learn WGS!

    Anyone got a few He-111s and/or Ju-87s as opponents?

Ok, so HMS Glorious has been to GottaCon 2015, and is going to InCON 2015 in August.

Then, it makes it's appearance at BottosCon 2015 in November! And I now have an He-111 and two Ju-87s! The Ju-87s were used in a practice run on the Glorious by Skype, with mixed success (Link: AAR - Skype Game - Norway May 1940).

More fun at BottosCon! See you there!
