I'm working on repainting a Hanriot HD.1 for my younger brother. I also am in the middle of trying to paint a Shapeways Albatross D.III based off of the paintscheme of Josef Loeser. And for later I have a Felixstowe and a Hanriot HD.2 floatplane.

I reckon Tim will get an invite to their Christmas party Presumably this was a pre-emptive strike before the price hike?

As for myself, as I have been away for half of October, I am just carrying over October's workbench, plus a few Seven Years War Prussians and a few SCW Assaltos I picked up in Madrid (and translating a set of SCW rules from Spanish to English).

I've just doomed myself and added to my ever growing to do pile of miniature's by buying some 28mm AWI Hessian's, when will this madness ever stop? I keep telling myself just buy what you can actually paint and not to create a lead mountain, but that never work's as they looked so nice on the Perrys website I just gave into temptation yet again, and I'm going to have to start thinking of how to justify my spending to the swmbo

One of the joys of that comic is to remind me of things that happened (pretty much just like it) at my own gaming table

Gazebos are not always what you think!
To Mrs Kyte it is a Summer House.
To me it is a paint station with all round natural lighting.

I do have 2 Japanese knives - always very sharp. My son, also a James, has a collection of chisels, cooking knives and even a lovely Japanese backward-pull saw.
He tells me that Miki city is the place that makes really fine stuff.

Guilty!! Guilty at charge, Your Honor!
Is it a Bunraku puppet, Eileen?
If you ever need more Samurai, Ronin, Ashigaru's or other medieval Japanese miniatures, just tell me, I'm your man. No pun intended. No, I don't want to fight you on a duel, Rob.

More photos of the Japanese face, Eileen. Please.

    Close!
I am illustrating the story and character Yuki Onna. It is part of a textile piece so will have the kimono and background made up. Fortunately I don't have to have the figure working like a Bunraku puppet. Pictures when I've painted the face maybe.

The Snow Woman! I love that story and I've seen a Bunraku play about her.
It's getting better and better all the way.

    A Winter Haiku

The mountain shivers with love and fear
    The snow-woman smiles
Love is a cold gust of snow.

My Valom Fokker DVII, Nieuport 17, and Albatros DV kits await, along with a disassembled Goering DVII and a couple of Shapeways seaplanes in transit...rather mundane stuff compared to the eye candy discussed above! Although I do have several 54mm and larger figures and busts under construction/paint, too. Making/finding the time is my hassle with completing things.

    Happy Painting/Modeling/Constructing/Carving!

    A few new projects:

    FBA

    2f1 Ships Camel

Really good Shapeways prints. Thanks to ReducedAirFactory for these great designs! The FBA is going to be painted Italian and used for Pola raids. The 2F-1 is going to be painted as N6812, Cullys Camel which shot down Zeppelin L-53 (the one in the Imperial War Museum).

Could have done with him for the last scenario I wrote Ian.
Is the FBA gunner an integral part or added by you? He looks very good, and the whole plane looks very sturdy.

The FBA comes with the gunner attached. Its a really neat model in WSF and the gunner printed brilliantly with more detail than I've ever had before in WSF. It'd be a nightmare to build an FBA as there's so many struts at odd angles.

Of course you can use it.
It's mine, but you can use freely.
But I made a typo when I passed it to the forum. It should read like this:

    A Winter Haiku

The mountain shivers with desire and fear
    The snow-woman smiles
Love is a cold gust of snow.
