Planes, Trains and Santa 2014

I am late in posting this! A cold and work have slowed me down!

Planes, Trains and Santa 2014 will be held November 28, 29 and 30th at the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach. The best of everything planes, trains and Santa flying in at 11am Friday and Saturday. This year will see some gaming also! I will be running an WOG/WOW WW2 game Friday, exact details have yet to be decided i gave a list of of possible themes and have not heard back yet. Saturday`s game will be Gnome Wars with a train and Santa theme, run by one of our forum members. Sunday will see a Aerodrome2 game in 144 scale. All games start at 9am and will run all day!

I have to add a worth while visit to the museum. You can see some model railroads and great aircraft.

Took two days and went to the Western MD Scenic RR.

Putting water in the tender for the trip to Frostburg. On the way up we were in the car behind the engine.

They have a turntable at Frostburg so turn the engine and put in the front so we were the last car on the way back. Great time.

They are restoring another steam engine. I think it is a 2-6-6-2. C&O # 1309. Should be done next year and hope to get a ride at that time.

I will mention that to my friend Jim, he is a big C&O fan and is also an N Scale model railroader. On Friday at the show he will run his big Steam engines and show off pulling 30 or 40 cars behind them!!

I took a ride out to the museum and finalized plans for show. I will be running a Midway game Friday. Being in the Navy hanger influenced that decision. Malta came in a close second!
