Thread: Doncaster. The sequel.

    Default Doncaster. The sequel.

I publish here a PM which I received from Keith today.
I would like the chaps who ran games at our event to give it some consideration, and let me know if you are up for producing a synopsis for posterity.
I feel that all the games I saw and took part in are far to good to merely submit to the cutting room floor of history. a lot of thought, time, and effort went into them and I would like to see those persons get some recognition.
To that end I commend Keith's idea to you all.
    Rob.

    Hey guys,

With Prague Con several years in the running now and with Doncaster firmly in the books, I’ve been looking closer at the different scenarios you guys have been playing. I would really like it if we could get all these scenarios written up in a standard format (possibly with setup/target diagrams or maps if possible) so that they could be hosted in a special section of the site. This would make it really easy for someone to find and play all these great scenarios. It could potentially be a lot of work, so I would leave it up to you guys to find the appropriate persons in your areas to gather and format the data. I'd find someone from the US to do the Origins scenarios. We could work out the format and such beforehand.

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks,

    Keith

I'm up for it. If we had the format then individuals could just write up their own. Simons was the biggest two by far, I have 4 and then there are the 3 Chris ran.

Just waiting for Keith to get back to me with the format in which he wants us to do these.

I also have a few mission that were used in the Avon campaign if they are of interest

If Keith is putting together a scenario 'book(let)', then perhaps the 30+ missions/scenario's from the complete OTT campaign would be a nice addition.

As a novice Game Host at conventions, I really need good group games. I also need lots more planes and accessories, but if I had play tested scenarios to look over, that I know have been used and enjoyed at conventions, it would take my efforts to spread Wings of Glory much more effective.

A Convention Scenario repository would be wonderful!

There have been some good scenarios at Enfilade, as well. Some have been very unique, and included custom planes (entirely consisting of mid-war allied float planes?). I may not be able to use them, but others might want to. These should be shared, too.

As far as I remember we had a printed .pdf set of missions for the last Prague Con that every participant had handy. Dan-Sam, Czech WingCo should have it saved.
