great pictures! Thanks for sharing!
Nice. I hoped to get out there this year but just couldn't. I'm near Boston, so 4+ hours, not close but not too bad. Next year it will happen.
always wanted to go there. thanks for sharing
I agree 110%. Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome is one of those don't-miss-it destinations. The greatest appeal will be to WWI and Interwar enthusiasts, but it is memorable for anyone with a pulse. Plan your visit for a warm weather weekend. The museum portion is open weekdays, but the weekend flying shows featuring restored and replica aircraft "in action" are memorable. Watch the youtube bits, read the book, search under Cole Palen and Rhinebeck, then go enjoy it. For added pleasure combine Rhinebeck with a vintage car show at nearby Lime Rock Raceway. Labor Day weekend is super. You can do both in one weekend.
Attached are some shots from last year. The static displays and restoration shops are worthwhile by themselves. Lots more I can upload if anyone is interested.

Nice photos Ron, by the time we got up to the static displays the day we were there it was too dark for any shots and I didn't have my flash with me. Funny you mention the vintage cars, we were at Watkins Glen for the vintage races a few weeks before the Rhinebeck trip.
Great pics Ryan (and Ron) - thanks for posting
Another great selection of shots Ryan!
The foliage at Old Rhinebeck was spectacular as well.
Thanks also Ron. Those vintage cars look like they need a bit of loving care.
I went ages ago (I was 10!!); I keep meaning to try and get there with the Missus, but something keeps getting in the way
Thanks for sharing the pics; you must have a good camera (and a good eye).

Re: additional footage. The attached shot taken at the Linger Lodge in Sarasota, Florida may strike a responsive chord.
I'll post some additional indoor shots from Rhinebeck later.

Looks more like legage to me Ron.
When are they going to learn to keep their pets under control down there?

More Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome photos - no signs of gators there. But we continue to have credible sightings of what appear to be catamounts here in the Green Mountains. Nothing more than the odd black bear in our yard.
Ron
Great photos all. This is why this is a great place. You can see others photos of great places.
Great photographs, Ryan and Ron. Thank you for sharing them.
