Default Konishi Metal Models in 1/200

Can anyone advise whether Konishi Seisakusho in Osaka are still selling their 1/200 lost-wax (cire perdu) brass metal model series? Their web site shows the models, but when I tried to order I received a message of "no models". Worth a look at the pictures in their web site if you have not seen the models. www.amiami.co.jp. Ami Ami often shows models that either never appear elsewhere or won't be available for some time.

Happy to report that Konishi 1/200 models appear to remain available. I was able to place an order have that confirmed. They accept either Paypal or the usual credit cards. I'll post some pictures when they arrive.

Great for the Pacific, but as usual nothing Italian on the horizon Ron.
However, it should keep Neil and Baz happy, never mind you chaps in the States.

The problem is. They're very expensive... Sadly.

Expensive in some ways................like if I am writing the check. Maybe not so expensive if you had to try to come up with a replacement. Lost wax brass is costly to produce, and the finish is clearly all hand work. The Konishi more or less compete with collectors diecasts like Herpa, Hogan and Gulliver. Maybe that explains why there are so few WWII types coming from the latter. Konishi have been around for many years, so it has been possible to buy a few at a time. Not so sure how long that will continue.......
And it really drives home what an incredible bargain at $10-25 the WoG miniatures are.

I was on the Konishi web site, so I made screen shots of some of their models. Let's see if I can attach the photos as a single file. If this doesn't fly I'll come back and post individual shots.

It's not the models or the work put into them that are expensive, Ron. It's my wallet that's cheap...
