Default A new manufacturer enters the 1/144 market with a fabulous kit

I have been told about this today. This kit raises the bar. Whether it's of interest to most is debatable but let's wait and see what follows, it might just be more early planes. Modelling skill required but look what you get… I'd say the best 1/144 model yet produced.

Looks nice, but for that money I'd still go for Ares, even if I could build the brass undercart !

I agree but if they come with an SE5a it's an interesting proposition. ARES are the perfect models for playing but we're still probably looking at two years or more to get the SE5a, let alone a decent Albatros DIII & DV, Dr1, SPAD XIII – some of the the most important aircraft of WW1 and yet they are largely unavailable unless you are prepared to buy the sub-standard reprint of Series 1.

Fortunately that's not a problem I have I ditched most all of the S.1 reprints I bought, swaps for 'old' ones

First thanks for flagging it up Tim.
Then I have to agree with you. The interest is what will follow if the Eindecker sells well!

The Eindecker was probably not the best choice in first release.

I strongly suspect they weren't aiming at the Wings of Glory market at all and given that it's a relatively simple model being a monoplane it's a good choice for them to start with. Equally it's not a type their fellow countryman at Valom has tackled. I have asked if they are aiming to release more types in the future. If I get a response I'll let you know.
