Thread: USS Hornet Museum

    Default USS Hornet Museum

This weekend I was on the USS Hornet Museum, docked in Alameda, CA. I will sort the photos on Google+ and link them in this thread, but as a preview I want to share an awesome model on exhibit:

The B-25B Mitchell is in massive 1:4 scale and it actually flies!

Rafal, visit the USS Intrepid during your next trip to New York.

I certainly will, but I see just one small problem. No idea when I will fly over the Ocean (if at all)

Following are a selection of pictures I took on the USS Hornet. I realize now that I failed to take pictures (or enough pictures) of some of the things I saw. Still, I think this is a fair representation of selected exhibits. If you are ever in the bay area it is worth the side trip to Alameda for the privilege of boarding the Hornet.

Next time I'm out west I will surely make a point to visit this museum. Thanks for sharing. I'm having a small problem pulling up you photos though. But it could be something on my end.

This is my first time using Google+. Please tell me if this works:

    Hornet

If this does not work I will host the pictures using a different format.
