"Showdown - Air Combat" - a one hour programme featuring "Zero vs Wildcat"

I've not seen any of this series, so cannot recommend as such, but it might be of interest, especially to WGS players.

Anyone else think the Wildcat v Zero was a little disappointing?

Disappointing?

They couldn't keep to the script!

Having described the Zero as "faster" than the F4F-4, they then produced technical data schematics showing the two planes to have IDENTICAL top speeds.
The programme proceeded from this point, reiterating the similar top speeds of the two planes, but then later, when attempting to explain how the Japanese ace won, they returned to the story that the Zero was faster!

The reproduction planes were very pretty, but the programme continuity was rubbish.

Episode 2, "P-51 vs Me 109" was much better!
