Thread: Series 9 lineup!

Well, some not so good news. Alliance messed up shipping my order and only sent me 8, yes that is eight, of one of the minis. That means at this time I can only process 8 orders and then I'll have to wait on the rest to show up I've already been in contact with Ares and they have got the wheels moving to get the missing planes sent out to me.

I know you don't normally do "backorders" but this seems like an extraordinary case.
I really hate having to wait for the other 14+ planes I ordered for the sake of just one (unless, of course, I am one of the "Lucky 8" )
Could you please make an exception for this one-time situation, send what you have, and send the stragglers when they arrive ?

If shipping is the issue I would be willing to pay extra when the backorders arrive.

While shipping costs with this many orders would be an issue, I honestly think the missing planes will be here before I could get a reasonable system to split orders up and running. Sorry guys.

I've just been talking with Ares, the missing planes shipped out today, so I should have them early to mid next week. I guess they were not kidding about that Aug 25th street date. lol

I seem to be getting good service from Entoyment these days. The new planes are up on their site marked out of stock, but they seem to be accepting pre-orders.

We have a gaming evening Sept. 6th.

Maybe we'll see a premiere of the Phönix fighters, the Italian Nieuport and some of my newest Italian front repaints on the two new gaming mats.

I think the Colorado Pony Express will make it.

Ours will certainly be here in time for Doncaster.

I get mine from Marquee Models of Harlow, Essex. Google them.
MM also appear at some shows including Salute in London in April. MM normally offer a show discount of around 10%.

Can't wait to see them on the table Bob. If you want an historical scenario for your new fighters (and you have a couple of friends to fly with) try this one - http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/sho...-or-5-players)

Was at the Guns of August this weekend. Didn't plan on getting any more planes but after talking to a friend (John S) and seeing the new set dove in and bought them. Good looking planes.

Finally got my hands on the new minis. I went with supporting my FLGS, and self-inflicted a near-mortal wound. With the brick and mortar mark-up (further elevated by a follow-on distributor and the exchange rate), I may not be able to afford to continue my support of the game. Anyway, the minis are pretty nice, and I really like the new extras. I will be showcasing these at MosaiCon, as the extras may go a small way to off-setting the new mini prices.

Just so you know, the cost is nearly double in Canadian dollars to what Keith is selling his for in US dollars.

I know the feeling... In Sweden the cost for a new mini is also closing in on double the price Without Keith I would not had bought nearly as many mini as I do.

A Phoenix D.I fighter is here in Germany 12,90 € in an online shop. Aerodrome Accessoires offers it for 9,99 $ would be 8,95 €.

    Albatros C.III for 17,20 €. Aerodrome Accessoires offers it for 13,99 $ would be 12,53 €.

But: You have to see that Aerodrome Accesoires offers it for a special price. A new scout should be 14,99 $ (13,43 €) and a new twoseater 19,99 $ (17,91€).

So it should be clear what great deal Keith offers us here.

So if you compare this special offer with the price in your local (flagship)store outside the USA, you have great differences, of course.

It's cool that you support your local shops, but you can't get the whole stuff there - otherwise you'll getting poor.

In general I do not order a complete WGF, WGS os SOG series at the Aerodrome store. First - I don't have the money, second - customs will rip my head off, third - it leaves me the option to buy missing miniature in the future in my (flagship)store for (of course) much more money, but in tasty small portions.

A full premium option from AA: a whole series plus rulers and markers, which are a gorgeous bonus making you "want to play at once")
Thanks Keith for the excellent service and the preorder smashing prices . I would never get the minis at these prices elsewhere.

You are lucky to have that option Sven. I simply cannot buy new product off the shelf anywhere on the entire continent of Australia.

Considering the number of players and air enthusiats there it sounds absolutely ridiculous IMHO.

It's getting harder to do that in Sweden to. New releases are available for a short time only... Better than nothing I guess

I've done the same thing for the last couple of releases - I get the majority of my planes from the Herrn Oberst, and then fill in the extras with my local FLGS - they seem to have reduced prices for most things, too, although not as good as The Aerodrome's prices...

I'm lucky in that there are at least 2 stores within 20 minutes drive that carry the 'complete' line of Ares's products (within reason)...

    All the best,
    Matt

    PS - I r e a l l y like the new models...

Over here, none of the FLGS carry _WoG_ any more (mainly because the maker never ships on time); this means I have to go to the deeply-discounted online sellers....

Does the phrase "self-fulfilling prophecy" ring any bells?
