It gives me the greatest of pleasure to confirm the appointment of Simon (Maverick) to that of Flight Leader of the Derbyshire Flight, after the recommendation of Four of my Squadron Leaders. I am sure that he will continue conduct himself with the same drive and ability that he has shown thus far in the service.
