    Default AAR: Zut Alors!!!

    Rules of Engagement:

If your kite gets riddled with holes, (within 2 hit points of going down) you can declare damage & roll 1 d6.

There are 2 spawn points marked '1' & '2' which are placed either side of the table (or an agreed location) before the match begins.
If you declare your damage, you get one chance per game to roll either no.1 or 2... numbers 3-6 are a big FAIL!
If you succeed, then a plane of your choosing comes to help you out at the beginning of the next phase.

Plus 1's are not being played (optional)
Altitude rules are not being played (for speed)

Thus, the AAR was aptly named 'Zut Alors'. I think I may have another AAR by the same name, but that was a different story.

Very nicely presented Von Ritterburg did his best against the odds...

I edited his name, to match the name I gave him in the painting showcase.

It was a very enjoyable solo mission. The tension levels were high!

Very interesting AAR, Hayden! Thank you for sharing.

Thanks chaps! I would say that the house rules gave it an extra fun-factor.

Another thrilling fur ball of a AAR Hayden

Not only did I enjoy the scenario, but the house rules for assistance certainly have something to commend them, especially in solo games.
I may well try that out for WW2 also Hayden.

    Good one Hayden!
    I enjoyed reading that.

Nice battle write up Hayden. Reinforcement rule is clever, will put that in my back pocket.

I agree with Teaticket, the reinforcement rules made the scenario. Very cool!

I thought that sometimes, a solo mission can end too soon. It's also a good way to get those planes out, that have been pushed to the bottom of your storage case Or try out a few new planes?

It could be modified to suit your game. You could agree that it's triggered by fire or smoke for instance.

I must admit that I still have aircraft that have never flown a mission.
Mainly French, American and German two seaters and bombers.

Oh me too! Can't seem to coax younger brother Greyson to use my SPAD VII or Sopwith Triplane. He's too enthralled with Hanriots right now. Someday though, they'll get their chance to shine. Until then, I need to figure out how to beat him in his Hanriots...
Perhaps HTRAINo's reinforcement rule may persuade him to give some new kites a try lol.

I have to agree here Hayden.
I have often felt that engine damage, or fire should be a trigger for leaving combat and seeking to regain ones lines ASAP. This could also be the trigger for the introduction of some other unpopular aircraft as you suggest.
I will certainly give it a try.
