I must admit that Jasta 11 dropping out of the reckoning in the latter part of the year was a surprise to me.

Someone was rotated to the rear, or went on vacation?

Good grief! 89 victories in a month! Im reading a book that tell different air stories of WWII. The first one is from a French squadron (1/5) that achieved 71 victories in Curtiss P-40 in the first months of the war until the complete conquer of France. P-40 against BF-109 and 110. You can imagine how difficult this must be.
    Thanks

MvR was on convalesce leave SEP-OCT '17; also, Jasta 11 was equipped with Fokker Dr.Is in SEP-17. Finally, they seem to have been having command issues at this time.
    From Wiki:
Leutnant Kurt Wolff was wounded in September, Oberlt. Wilhelm Reinhard took charge until Wolff returned. Soon after Wolff was killed in action on 15 September, thereafter Lothar took command. Jasta 11 would then have a bewildering succession of other temporary commanding officers, especially when Lothar was frequently away from the front recovering from wounds.

Nice source of information But indeed, dramatic loss of Jasta 11 efficiency during second half of the year is strange to me. Well at least I expected them to be on the list, even without most famous aces.
