Default WGF, WGS and LSG - What Do They Mean?

Posted in the classifieds today and the forum insisted that I choose a prefix of WGF, WGS or LSG.

Have no idea what they mean. Looked in the sticky and that doesn't explain. So just picked one and hoped for the best.

    What do they mean?

    Cheers,

    Nigel

If you look at what you posted there is a line under them i.e. WGF. But they mean Wings of Glory WWI/Wings of Glory WWII. I have not seen anything for LSG so can't help you with that. You may see SOG which is Sails of Glory, a naval game by ARES. Any acronyms that are common here will have a line under them and when you put your curser on it, it will tell you what it means. Again another example is SWMBO.

Nigel, are you sure that LSG is correct? What about LGS (= Local Game Store)?

    SWMBO is very important abbreviation

    Still not getting it.

I assumed that the WG means Wings of Glory but still can't figure what the F and S mean.

I think LSG is Sails of Glory but again I don't know what the L means.

When you post in the sales/wanted forum you have to choose one of these 3 before you can post.

    Cheers,

    Nigel

WGF - Wings Glory First - Wings of Glory WWI
WGS - Wings Glory Second - Wings of Glory WWII
LGS - I think its Local Game Store as Daniel said
SWMBO - I dont know what this means exactly. But is something related to the wife.
    Thanks

    WoG - Wings of Glory
WGF - Wings of Glory First World War
WGS - Wings of Glory Second World War
SWMBO - She Who Must Be Obeyed

    Is it clear now?

Edit: Barkman, you are pretty fast!

Thanks that helps and I have corrected the prefix on my post as a result.

Not that I really matters, the third option is LSG, not LGS so it can't be local game store.

    Cheers,

    Nigel

Very important. Here in Prague, we have a colleague, who admitted only the first war at his home

The F comes from "First World War" and S from "Second World War". I think these acronyms have been invented so that some people don't have to use the acronym WOG, since it also has racist meanings.
