Default Tally Ho!!!! First Contact Made

    Good afternoon all,
Late yesterday afternoon (Sept 10, 2014) I stopped by the LGS in Bloomington, Illinois (Gryfalia's Aerie). I had a chance meeting with a gentleman and we had a long conversation dealing with gaming and the likes and dislikes. He was looking at Heroes of Normandie (A very enjoyable game) and I pointed that out to him. He told me his interest in Advanced Squad Leader and the like.
He was a kindred spirit. Then the talk flowed from X-Wing to Wings of War/Glory. He told me he was on a web site. This web site. It made me pause, I think I'm on that site as well. Not often but am on it.
Well thank you to 7eat51, Eric, you made my afternoon and it was a lovely chat about something I am passionate about. TableTop Board gaming.
So now I have eyes on one of the other lads here some perhaps more of you in the future will fill my cross hairs.
I really need to get together with you all and chase each other about the board in our battered WWI aeroplanes.

Have a great day and I will try to check in here a bit more often.

Always good to regain contact with one of the Old Brigade again Mark. You actually predate me by a month.
Anyway this is by way of welcoming you back on behalf of the Squadrons based here in Dear old Blighty.
Fly safe and watch your six.

Welcome back to the Aerodrome Mark from across The Pond

Learning about the game from a seasoned or experienced player is far more fun than being on your own and just reading the rulebook all the time! This is the way I learned about Wings of War before my WW2 / WGS playing career actually began in February 2015. Then along the same lines in February 2015 during my first Wings of Glory game I was 'supervised' by a live tutor. You just pick up so much which the rulebook just is not able to tell you learning that way ...
