    Default My computer is down.

    Hi Chaps.
This is just to let you know that my computer has been ailing over the last few days since a new hard drive was fitted. It finally clapped out today, and is being re programmed. As I have not backed up since the problem started because I did not want to transfer anything onto my backup drive, some records will have been lost.
Also I can't access any data at the moment, nor E-mails so if you want to get me please send a PM as I can check these by using Eileen's Lap-Top.
I you fail to get any answers to sent mails I apologise in advance and would like you to re send.
    Thanks for your forbearance.
    Rob.

That is a bad news, Rob. I hope you did not loose any important data.
Backup in a "cloud" could be a future solution...

Same happened to me Rob, basically it was over heating and just cutting out on me. New CPU fan, some high grade thermal paste and she's back!

Hope it's fixed quickly Rob - personally I adopt the Zaphod Beeblebrox approach to uncooperative computers ("now computer, do what I want or I'll re-programme you with a large axe"), which seems to work some of the time at least

The Axe did not work I'm afraid Brian. The computer was obviously trying to do something far more complected like parking cars, or working out the answer to the Universe.
    Jim has now rebuilt the whole system and it seems O.K. now. So absoloutely nothing can go wrong,go wrong,go wrong,go wrong,go wrong,go wrong,go wrong,go wrong,go wrong,go wrong,go wrong,vvvvvgo wrong,go wrong,go wrong,go wrong,vgo wrong,vvgo wrong,vvvvvvvvvvvvv...................... Oh! sh.................
