OK, check a mission list in the very first post - I think we must vote for Con missions and it is necessary to check that your mission is on the list.

Like offered before, I can host the Caproni mission twice if more WW I missions are needed.

Maybe we have a little mistake here:

Nightbombing is Honza's mision, I think. The Augsburg raid is a nightbombing mission.

Dambusters is only a sidematch. (max. 2 players and a host)

For this moment, I do not want to start a new cathegory, because we will probably have another problem - too many missions. Let's see which missions would be voted

    1. My mission with the new Zeros (the same attack on a US carrier like last year, just with the new bad assed Zeros) is missing from the list. My night-fighting mission shall be on the list only if i am able to test it at least twice more with 3 other experienced players (= people who can do WWII split-s without asking how), which is a liiiiiiitle hard thing to do. But feel free to vote for it, it may encourage me to finish it, hahahaha.
Yep, and there is no bombing in it.

    2. There is Zdenek's WWI mission, which is really entertaining and shall be added to the list too. He calls it a "Duck-shoot" or such, and i noted it here some time ago - you get points for shooting rather than for shooting people down. So this one is about skills more than luck.

Quote Originally Posted by Honza View Post

The thing is that you score points for hits (even for zeros):
    - One point for a long range hit
    - two points for a short range hit and
    - additional two points for a shotdown

You can resurrect your airplanes and put them back into play (next planning phase) within one ruler distance from your edge and min. one and half ruler away from the nearest opponent. The side with the more points wins. In case of a tie, the side with more shotdowns wins.

For testing we used 2x E.III + 2x Halby agains 2x Pusherduck + 2x Bullet. In one hour me and Zdenek beat Michal and Lukas 26 to 22.

To describe Kubaj's WWII mission Bloody Easter Front, it is a time-walk through eastern front aircombat 1941-1945. It includes plenty of unofficial aircraft. As soon as you get your ass burned down, you are starting again with a brand new airplane which is superior the the old one. This way the whole madness slowly moves from 1941 Germans having good laugh, to highly balanced fighting in the late war aircraft. It is a pretty unusual design, it is engaging and it works.

Sounds like the Invitational game Herr Oberst runs at Origins each year; you get three planes, starting with early, shot down, respawn with a mid-war, again respawn with a late-war.
Points for shooting a plane down (other side only please ), and points deducted for getting shot down.
First one 3 years ago, IIRC, 2 players got through with their first planes

I found some old HBM Russian stuff in my loft over the weekend - 2xPE8, 3xPE2, 1xMiG 3, a couple of Sturmoviks and an Airacobra. Is any of this any use for what's planned? If so I shall give them a quick lick of paint.

    2 Me 109Gs winter
    1 Stuka

    1 Soviet Hurricane
    3 winter I-16 Rata winter

I also have western Allied planes and Japanese.

So, if those could be of some help, let me know. I'll be glad to bring needed planes with me.

I guess it is time to put up the Con schedule tab with generic missions, so we can vote for the real content.

  30. #280

Great! It's going to be the huge battle. Now it seems we have enough planes for more than 20 players!
Please, bring your planes completely ready to play - miniature, flight stand, plane card, maneuver cards.

    Today, I've finished painting of 2x MiG-3, 2x Rata, 2x La5-FN, 1x Airacobra, 1x Jak-9, 3x Fw.190A, 2x Bf.109F, 2x Bf.109G
Now it's waiting only for decals and finishing laquer.
Besides these I already have Russian Warhawk and Tomahawk and Spit.IX, I repainted last year.
So that is lot to look forward.

It is possible to play max two 90 minutes blocks for Friday, 4 blocks for Saturday (early end of the day required) and 2 for Sunday. That is 8 blocks for every game maximum.
Personally, I prefer Friday for WGF only, Saturday for both and Sunday for WGS.

Last year, we wanted to add a special "try a new game block" (SoG, Angels 20, BLue Max etc.).

We should vote for missions - there are too many WGS missions now.

I met Watchdog yesterday - he told me that he want to come to us at least for Saturday evening.

Dan: When we know how many missions we can fit into the schedule, then we can vote for missions. Not before i'd suggest. Let's make the blind mission schedule chart first - i am posting it and let's see what changes we want to make

The schedule may look like this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...romTrash#gid=0

This holds 13 missions throughout the Con, where at least 2 shall be WWI and at least 2 shall be WWII.

    Any suggestions regarding this schedule?

Regarding the very late saturday dinner - that may be a problem to find a pub that has a kitchen open for late orders. However,
there was an idea to make goulasch for everybody (one of Czech pilots is a cook and some of us just like to cook) and warm it up in Lada's kitchen and serve it right there. Then we can move on and have a beer.

There was a request for skip one gaming block during Saturday as I linked. And there was another request for "another game block" during last Con.
Personally, I do not agree with making meals in Lada's kitchen.

  36. #286

    Default

Sure, let's skip one block. Then we may have 11-12 missions, depending on how many people want to play an alterantive game
As for Lada's kitchen i would like to know Lada's opinion, because that is what will eventually matter. I was suggesting it as an alternative, because i don't know about any late hours restaurant, you may know about one which would make it easy.

EDIT: I called to Lada and he is not against it, he just doesn't have enought plates and such. I understand that goulsh on his carpet would not make him happy though. So we may simply end the day a bit earlier with the last mission 17:30-19:30 and then go to a pub, how about that guys?
In that case there would be 10-11 missions in totall, depending on the mentioned alternative block.

Very well, now i would ask the people who want to host or join and alternative combat game to let us know. Me and Andy can host Axis and Allies: Angels 20 WWII air-combat.
You can check it out here: https://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardg...ures-angels-20
We have a lot of minis and a mat so this should be quite easy. I would like to encourage all the possible participants to read the rules, otherwise one block may not be enough.

So the alternate schedule may look like this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...romTrash#gid=0

    10-12 missions

We talked with Sven about Sails of Glory.

Shouldn't be a problem to host a SoG game but:

    If I run Augsburg Raid & Caproni's Revenge I need to transport: 4 x Lancasters, 1 x Caproni Ca.4, 4 x heavy fighters & 8 - 10 single seat fighters.

So I have no space for my SoG stuff, because I'll arrive with light luggage. (...and a second pair of underpants would be nice )

If I skip Augsburg Raid I can bring the SoG stuff with me for a max. of 8 players. (Question is: should we really miss the only mission with the new 4 engined heavies?)

    By the way:

    Caproni's Revenge is for max. 7 - 9 players (10 if I host only)

Augsburg Raid is for max. 6 - 7 players (Me as host included)
