Default Hi from the Hunter Valley

    Hi all,
I am new to the game but have been thoroughly enjoying it so far. I am playing WGF with guys from work (nowhere near where I live) so am writing a quick hello and checking to see if there are any regular games around the Hunter that I can jump in on...I really need the practise!!

Like a lot of others I stumbled on this game by chance, jeremyb1984 mentioned it to me at work one day and we quickly decided that we better buy loads of gear for it before either of us had actually seen it in the flesh. I am glad we did! So far we have played a few games and recruited another 2 guys from work (one of which is annihilating us on the score sheet...am now wondering why we ever invited him!!)

Looking forward to picking all your brains, if anyone needs any help on how to draw the explosion card I seem to be pretty good at it so feel free to ask!!!!!

    Cheers.

Another witty Aussie pilot we have here Welcome from Poland, Mathew
There are many excellent Australian members here, so there will be no problem to find new opponents! Enjoy your stay and drop into Officers' Mess from time to time.

I think we both know who has the most fun at exploding Mat, reckon you have a far better chance at finding someone to sate your WoG lust in Singleton then I do in Coonamble... might have to look into the Single Player rules... Guess this means we will need TWO transport cases?

    Thumbs up

G'day Matt & welcome to the 'drome on behalf of all the other pilots who fly in NSW.
Not sure how many others are up your way as we are way down South Coast.
Might I suggest you try to make it to Cancon in Canberra on the January Aust. Day weekend. Zoe & I usually have demo games going over the 3 days.
Please ask for any info you might need & do try to avoid the dreaded "BOOM"!

My nick name is KABOOM, I drew the boom card 5 or 6 games consecutively.

Thanks all for the warm reception! Be aware, once you get to know me you will be asking yourselves "why were we ever nice to that guy?!"

Baz, Unfortunately at this stage I will be working the whole Aust day weekend so I doubt I will make it down. I am trying to look up some gaming clubs in Newcastle, am not sure if they even play WGF/WGS...yet!

Haha Bob, I can gladly say I have not emulated your unfortunate run with the kaboom card. I do plan on helping make others beat your record though, starting with Jeremy on Wednesday night!

Look forward to catching you all around the forums.

Hi Mathew, welcome to the Drome!

I drew the Boom card 4 times on my first public show day - no skill-honing required here, I think!

Bit late to greet you Matt, but things have been a bit hectic around this neck of the woods of late.
Hope you are finding plenty to interest you on the site.
    Fly safe.

I'm back on this forum after a long absence. I live in Medowie, but work in Maitland. I can probably give you a game in the following or so! Let me know.
