The P-51B Mustang had a different performance from the P-51D.
An A deck is more in line with the P-51B?
Comments, please.

It's pretty much the same as the D, as far as WGS stats go. Guns are B-B/B though.

Thanks, Karl.
I'll use the P-51 deck with the P-51B.
I have been trying to research this myself seeing how I am wanting to get some P-51 A and B/C models to add in the game. Looking at the performance of the P-51B/C we see a slightly faster plane than the 51D but I have also heard reports that the extra guns and the thicker wing reduced the maneuverability of the D as well. So I have been trying to find figures and stats but until then I am going to play test two new ideas to represent the B/C in WoG.
Idea one, use the P deck but add in the extreme sideslips of the R deck (a gentle increase of maneuverability)
orrrrr
Use the R deck but without use of the Sideslipes (the more extreme maneuverability option)
Otherwise keep 19 HP and decrease the armament to BB/B
A quick run through of things, the A would have 18 HP, your armament is correct.
Decks & speed etc, I'll have a think on in the morning, unless Karl chips in before then.
Need to dig up wing loading and roll rates for each model as well as straight line speed.
Just realised all of these are in the unofficial planes spreadsheet...
Name Deck Short Long Dam Ceiling Climb Base NA P-51/Mustang.IA E C-C-C-C C-C 18 9 4 F NA P-51A/Mustang.II O** B-B B 18 9 4 F NA P-51B/C Mustang P B-B B 18 9 3 F
O** no 60 degree turns or extreme side slips.

Having a dig through my books here, from what I read there wouldn't be any differences between the B/C & D/K in game terms.
The top speeds are very similar, they have very close wing loading and roll rates, that you can't really differentiate in Wings of Glory.
I would say the spreadsheet as it is, is as close as you can get.
That sounds about right as these were mostly Rolls-Royce powered with four-bladed propellers. The early Mustang Mk 1s with the original Packard engines and three-bladed propellers would have been significantly different in terms of performance.
Just as a brief aside - I never knew about the A-36 ground attack version of the Mustang (A-36 Apache) until I saw it available as an aircraft choice playing what is now Warbirds 2016 on my PC.
The B/C was a little faster than the D/K, and at least 'felt' more maneuverable, but as Steve says, the differences weren't significant in game terms. The P-51A/A-36/Mustang I were incredible down low, but with Alison engines, did nothing at medium to high altitude. Incidentally, both A-36 pilots and RAF Army Co-Op loved their Alison-engined birds, but once they wore out, they had to be replaced, since they weren't being produced any more.. At least the RAF pilots got Tempests and the like--the Apache pilots had to transition to P-40s.
Not all. It depended upon the unit... and timing for that matter. Some transitioned to Merlin-engined P-51s, and at least one received P-47s. The Twelfth Air Force was, at one point (just before it lost a number of FGs to the newly-formed Fifteenth Air Force), flying late-model P-40s, P-51s, and P-47s all at the same time. Can you say "supply nightmare"?
The Ninth Air Force, by the way, operated both P-47s and P-51s... as well as a FG of P-38s! And one of their FGs -- the 354th -- went from P-51s to P-47s and then back to P-51s in the space of four months...
